Wise County is
teaming up with surrounding counties to offer child care providers with
Inclusive Child Care training scheduled for Saturday,
February 27, 2016 at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall in
Gainesville. The conference will be held
from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Join us to learn about;
·
An introduction to Inclusive Child Care
for preschool and school-age children;
·
Supporting strong peer and adult-child
relationships in the Inclusive child care
environment;
·
Strategies for caring for children with
sensory integration issues;
·
Activity-based support in inclusive
children with challenging behaviors;
·
Establishing a healthy and safe
environment for children with special needs;
·
Strategies for caring for children with
challenging behaviors;
·
Strategies for helping children develop
self-help skills in the inclusive child care setting; and
·
Strategies for partnering with families
of children with special needs.
Registration cost for the event is
$20.00 if postmarked by February 22, 2016.
The registration includes lunch, snacks, and 6 clock hours/CEUs. This Inclusive Child Care Provider Conference
is hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in the following
counties: Cooke, Denton, Grayson and Wise.
