Summer vacation is right around the corner – how are you going to spend
your fun in the sun? There are several camps available for 4-H and non-4-H
youth to attend close to Wise County. After each camp description there is a
website link that will have more information on that particular camp.
County Camp: will
be held at the Texas 4-H Center in Brownwood on July 7-9th! Camp is open
to youth that have completed 2nd grade through 11th. County Camp gives youth
the full camp experience with activities, swimming, dances, games and
leadership! The cost per camper is $180. Online registration allows
payment of a $25 non-refundable deposit through June 14, with balances due by

Horizons is five day, four night camp (June
29-July 3) that focuses around project enhancement, career exploration, and
personal/professional development at the 4-H Center in Brownwood. Participants
(4-H youth that have completed grades 4-8) choose their focus area where they
will receive approximately 16 hours of instruction and introduction to careers
in the field. Each workshop is limited to 20 youth and are filled on a first
come, first served basis. Evening activities are geared towards
professional development and workforce preparation, and of course, camp recreation
and games! Dances each night! Project focused workshops on: Taxidermy, Sport
Fishing, Share-the-Fun (theatre/music), Photography, Food Challenge, and

Leader Lab will
be held in Brownwood at the Texas 4-H Center June 16-18th. All 4-H
members 13 & up (as of Aug. 31, 2013) are invited to attend a camp full of
leadership experiences, team challenges and dances! This is an excellent
leadership camp for youth that are interested in the 4-H program! The cost per
4-H member will be $175.
Prime-Time is designed especially for youth ages
9-13 with opportunities to meet new friends, develop new skills, and learn how
to work with others.
Session 1
— July 20-23—completed grades 5-8
Session 2
— July 23-26—completed grades 2-5
The Early
registration fee for youth participants is $230.00 for the 3
night, 4 day event. This cost covers all meals, lodging, refreshments, health
care services, facility and programming fees. The informational flyer can be
